Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour trip to Washington D.C.
Each year, Ben Lomand Connect sends two qualifying students from our service territory to the Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour in Washington D.C. The tour is a chance for students to visit our nation’s capital and learn about rural broadband. They are encouraged to share their community’s story with key legislative, regulatory, and government figures and interact with their peers from other rural communities. This year’s tour will be June 1st – 5th, 2022.
Application Process- submit a 750-1200 word essay (double spaced) on The Role of Technology In My Life by April 1st, 2022 to email@example.com. Applicants must be 16-17 years old during the date of the trip and reside in a household with Ben Lomand Connect service. The essay must include a cover page with the student’s name, school, birthdate, address, and contact number.
**The FRS requires that attendees show proof of vaccination.
