2026 Youth Tour Winners

Ben Lomand Connect is proud to announce that two outstanding students, Callie O’Dell, and Alyssa Lawrence, have been selected to attend the prestigious Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. This exciting opportunity will take place in June and will provide the students with a firsthand look at the telecommunications industry, government processes, and the importance of rural connectivity.

Each year, the FRS Youth Tour brings together high school students from rural communities across the country to explore our nation’s capital, engage with key policymakers, and gain insights into the role of telecommunications in rural development. As representatives of White and Warren County High Schools, Callie and Alyssa will have the chance to participate in educational sessions, visit historical landmarks, and meet other young leaders who share a passion for advocating for rural America.

The Foundation for Rural Service, in collaboration with the NTCA—The Rural Broadband Association, has hosted this annual Youth Tour for more than 26 years. It serves as a platform to inspire and educate the next generation of leaders while emphasizing the importance of connectivity in rural America.
