HBO & Cinemax Free Preview Weekend December 29th
HBO & Cinemax are having a FREE Preview weekend December 29 to January 2, 2019 for BLTV customers. Experience the best of HBO and Cinemax during a holiday weekend to provide the perfect opportunity to catch-up or binge watch all that HBO has to offer, including the year’s biggest movies, and of course, Game of Thrones.
Big Ten Network & Big Ten Network HD Launching August 27th
BLTV is excited to announce that on August 27th, Big Ten Network will be launching on channel 238 on Variety Tier, and Big Ten Network HD will be launching on channel 398 on the HD Tier.
Tennis Channel launching on March 1st
BLTV is excited to announce that Tennis Channel will be launching on March 1st on channel 60 on Expanded.
Velocity HD moving to channel 319
Velocity HD (channel 309) will be moving to channel 319 on 2/10/18.
HD Channel Additions for Grundy/Marion county lineup
BLTV will soon be launching the following HD channels in the Grundy/Marion County lineup: FOX HD will be on 303, ABC HD will be on 309, CBS HD will be on 312, and NBC HD will be on 313. Velocity HD will move to channel 319.
BLTV will soon be launching the following new channels on our Basic lineup: Laff (channel 100) and Cozi (channel 107).
Spike rebranding as Paramount Network on Jan 18th
On January 18th, Spike (channel 55 / HD channel 355) will be rebranded as Paramount Network.
Olympic Channel replacing Chiller September 29th
On September 29th, Chiller (channel 241 on Variety Tier) will be replaced with the Olympic Channel. The content and programming of the Olympic Channel includes live Olympic sporting events, original series, documentaries, interviews with Olympic athletes and archival content.
IFC and SundanceTV added to Watch TV Everywhere
BLTV is excited to announce that IFC and SundanceTV have been added to Watch TV Everywhere!
Esquire Network Discontinue Date Move Up to June 28
NBC Universal has notified BLTV that the discontinue date for Esquire Network (channel 238 on the Variety Tier) has been moved up to Wednesday, June 28th at 12PM EDT.
Sprout Rebranding as Universal Kids
NBC Universal has notified BLTV that Sprout is rebranding as Universal Kids on September 9th, 2017. Universal Kids will continue to be the premier source for preschool programming as it expands its content to include DreamWorks Animation Television series, unscripted entertainment, live action scripted originals and proven international hits, extending its audience to include kids 2-11 years old.
Esquire Discontinued on June 30th
NBC Universal has notified BLTV that Esquire (channel 238 on the Variety Tier) will be permanently discontinued on June 30th, 2017.
QVC Plus Rebranding to QVC2
On April 1st, QVC Plus is rebranding as QVC2. This rebranding will bring some new and exciting things to the channel. To start, it will have its own deal of the day (similar to the Today’s Special Value on the QVC main channel) and even more original live programming.
Fox Business Network Coming to Expanded
On April 3rd, Fox Business Network will be available to Expanded customers on channel 233.
New Watch TV Everywhere Additions
AMC, BBC America, Game Show Network and WEtv are now available on Watch TV Everywhere.
IFC and Sundance set to Launch on February 28th
BLTV is excited to announce we will be launching two additional Variety Tier networks on February 28th. Independent Film Channel (IFC) will be on channel 243 on the Variety Tier. IFC is the home of offbeat, unexpected comedies. Original series Portlandia, Documentary Now!, Stan Against Evil and the upcoming Brockmire air alongside fan-favorite movies and comedic cult TV shows.
SundanceTV will be on channel 244 on the Variety Tier. SundanceTV celebrates creativity and distinctive storytelling through unique voices and narratives found in the best independent films. From delivering critically acclaimed Emmy®, Golden Globe® and Peabody Award-winning television featuring some of the world’s most talented creators and performers, to showcasing some of the most compelling and iconic films across genres and generations, SundanceTV is a smart and thought-provoking entertainment destination.
Cloo Discontinued on February 1st
NBC Universal has notified BLTV that Cloo (channel 234 on the Variety Tier) will be permanently discontinued on February 1, 2017.
WSMV Replacing Heartland with Escape TV on November 1st
WSMV notified BLTV that they are replacing Heartland with Escape TV on on November 1st. Escape TV is a network that airs great movies and series based on crime and mystery. Some of the series include Unsolved Mysteries, American Greed, LAPD, Forensic Files, American Justice and The FBI Files.
OWN Added to Watch TV Everywhere
BLTV is pleased to announce that OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) has been added to Watch TV Everywhere.
Encore Name Change
Encore is being renamed to Starz Encore. All of the Encore channels are still the same like Westerns, Classics, and Family, but they will now be called Starz Encore Westerns, Starz Encore Classics, Starz Encore Family, etc.
HBO/Cinemax FREE Preview Weekend

National Geo Wild Launchiing March 1st
BLTV is excited to announce that we will be launching Nat Geo Wild March 1st on channel 221 on the Variety Tier.
The Weather Channel Added to Watch TV Everywhere
BLTV is pleased to announce that The Weather Channel has been added to Watch TV Everywhere.
Fox Business Network Free Preview
Fox Business Network is giving BLTV’s Expanded customers a FREE Preview on January 14th during the Republican Presidential Primary Debate on channel 233. The FREE preview will take place approximately 12 hours before and after the debate.
ABC Family Rebranding to Freeform
On January 12th, ABC Family will change its name to Freeform. The name, look, feel, and attitude of the network will capture the nature of the “Becomer” audience (ages 14-34) and the modern way they consume and interact with media.
